Jungle Living

The long path that has been taken in building the volunteer house for the Arajuno Road Project has been well documented, but now it is actually here, what is it like to live at the project?

Summer School 2008

One of my favourite games as a child was a treasure hunt. My dad would draw the clues and i would spend hours running around the house to find the few pennies that were treasure. It seemed the perfect game for the last day of a very successful summer school (Actividad de Vacciones).

A Day in the Life of a jungle Volunteer

I’m coming to the end of my 2 week placement on the Arajuno Road Project and I’m really going to miss it. Bar getting up at 7am, everything about the school day is brilliant. You start the day walking to school through the Amazon, arrive at a school where the kids are lovely and the lessons are creative, and then finish in time for lunch in your wooden jungle home. It’s awesome.

Jungle Trek

Water? check. Mosquito repellent? check. Wellies? check. Woman wielding a machete? check.
So we´re ready to go on our jungle trek.
